Held & Herd: The Release Method
Upcoming Experiences
September 7th, 2026 (Currently full. If this is a day that works for you, please let us know and we can add you to our waitlist.)
- 9:30 AM
- 1:30 PM
Each experience is intentionally limited to just two participants, creating a quiet, supportive environment where each person has the space to slow down, be present, and experience the work in their own way.
What the Herd Has Taught Us
When Amber and I first imagined Held & Herd, we hoped to create something different.
Not another wellness event.
Not another workshop.
But a space where people could step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with themselves.
After three Held & Herd experiences, we can honestly say it has become more than we ever imagined.
Every experience has been different.
Every participant has arrived with their own story.
Their own hopes.
Their own holding patterns.
And every single time, the horses have responded differently.
We’ve witnessed laughter.
We’ve witnessed tears.
We’ve witnessed moments where words simply weren’t needed.
We’ve watched shoulders soften.
Breathing deepen.
Holding patterns begin to release.
We’ve watched people reconnect with parts of themselves they hadn’t felt in a very long time.
One of the greatest gifts has been witnessing the horses.
Sometimes they quietly surround the massage table.
Sometimes they stand beside a participant for what feels like an eternity.
Sometimes they move away.
Sometimes they return.
Some yawn.
Some chew.
Some simply remain present.
They never force.
They never judge.
They simply respond.
As a Myofascial Release therapist, I’ve spent years learning to trust the body—to listen rather than lead, and to create enough safety for the body to respond in its own time.
Held & Herd has reinforced that belief in ways I never expected.
The horses don’t tell the body what to do.
Neither do we.
Together, we simply create an environment where the body and nervous system feel safe enough to remember what they already know.
That continues to leave both Amber and me humbled after every experience.
Words From Participants
“It was amazing.”
“It was a magical experience.”
“Our Held & Herd session was incredible. We both felt the shifts in our bodies. Today my body feels different… lighter and with greater mobility. My focus on what I need to do next to reach my life goals is clear. The positive energy around us while we were being treated created a safe space to release physical and emotional baggage and fill that space with something new.”
“I am so grateful I was able to do this for myself. I have been having a hard time with confidence and learning to trust came up very clearly between and my horse. I loved most when I was able to lay on the table and just watch the horses that stood by me the whole time I was being treated. Some yawned or chewed, some stayed absolutely still, all the while I felt their presence.”
A Different Kind of Experience
Where the body is given space to slow down…
and respond in its own time.
Held & Herd brings together Equine-Assisted Learning and Myofascial Release Therapy within a quiet, grounded, and supportive environment.
Life asks a lot of us.
Over time, we adapt.
To stress.
To responsibility.
To grief.
To injury.
To uncertainty.
To simply getting through another day.
Many of those adaptations continue long after they are needed.
Held & Herd isn’t about fixing.
It isn’t about pushing.
It isn’t about performing.
It’s about creating enough safety for the nervous system to soften, for the body to respond, and for something new to emerge.
Together, Equi-Soul and Fascial Connections have created an intimate two-hour experience where participants receive both an individual Equine-Assisted Learning session and an individual Myofascial Release Therapy session, while being supported by the quiet wisdom of the herd.
