A New Home. The Same Heart.

August 31, 2026 Leave a Comment

Ten years ago, a dream took shape.

A dream to create a home.

Not simply a clinic or a place to receive treatment, but a space where people could feel safe enough to heal from their pasts. A place where they could begin to feel what, for so many reasons, may have felt overwhelming for far too long—and honour the courage it takes to let go of pain, move through it, and begin to move more freely.

Over the years, that home grew.

It grew with the therapists who became part of it.

It grew with every patient who trusted us.

And it grew into a community of people who supported one another.

The people who have worked within these walls became family, teammates and support systems. We encouraged one another to grow, to learn, to challenge ourselves and, importantly, to continue doing our own healing too.

Because I have always believed that the work we do on ourselves changes the way we are able to show up for the people we care for.

But here’s something I’ve been learning:

The shape of a home can change.

The walls don’t define who we are.

A home supports us.

It comforts us.

It gives us somewhere to feel safe.

But what makes it a home is what happens within it.

And after ten incredible years, it’s time for Fascial Connections to change shape.

We’re Moving

September 4 will be our last official day at 2200 Prince of Wales Drive, Suite 400.

Fascial Connections is preparing to move into our new home, and while I had hoped to be able to share the address with you today, there are still a few final details being completed before I can officially do so.

Rather than wait any longer to share this important transition with our community, I wanted to make sure you had time to prepare for the changes ahead—and, importantly, an opportunity to connect with your current practitioner before we close the doors at Prince of Wales.

I will share our new address with you as soon as everything is finalized.

But before I look forward, I need to honour some very important people who have shared this home with me.

To an Incredible Team

In our 10-year anniversary letter last month, I had the opportunity to recognize the many therapists and team members who have been part of Fascial Connections over the years.

Today, I want to recognize four incredible practitioners whose own practices are changing as I pursue the next chapter of my dream.

Their paths may be taking different shapes, but each of them has left something behind within Fascial Connections—and within me.

Liza Fortier, PT

Liza has been an incredible person to work alongside for more than two years.

She has been a steady support through some rough waters here at Fascial Connections, while all the while being an incredible therapist to so many patients.

I am especially grateful that Liza pursued her own desire to streamline her physiotherapy practice around Myofascial Release Therapy. Her passion for women’s health so beautifully matched my own, and having someone beside me who shared that passion has meant so much.

Liza, thank you—for your support, your knowledge, your friendship and the care you’ve given this community.

Message from Liza:

Dear Fascial Connections patients,

It is with mixed emotions that I share that I have made the difficult decision to take a step back from practicing Myofascial Release Physiotherapy at Fascial Connections Myofascial Release and Wellness Centre.

My time at Fascial Connections and the relationships I have built with my clients and colleagues have been incredibly meaningful to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a wonderful practice and community.

At this time, I am unsure whether I will return to the practice in the new year or whether this will mark my transition into retirement. I need some time and space to consider what the next chapter will look like for me.

For now, I wanted to share this decision with you with honesty and gratitude. I sincerely appreciate your understanding, support, and the trust you have placed in me over the years.

With warmest regards,

Liza Fortier, PT

Shea Puckett, DOMP

More than eight years ago, Shea walked up to me at the Healthy Brain and Body Show.

Everything since has been pretty amazing.

If you’ve met Shea, you know the calm, quiet presence she carries. That calm has rippled throughout Fascial Connections from the moment she joined us.

Shea brought her own incredible skill set while sharing so many of the principles that have always guided Fascial Connections. Her thoughtful approach and quiet presence have made her an incredible addition to this team.

Shea, thank you.

For your presence, your care, your friendship and everything you have brought into this space.

Message from Shea:

Dear clients,

As Fascial Connections moves into its next phase, I’ll be taking a brief pause from my practice while I determine what comes next. It has been an incredible privilege to build my practice alongside such a wonderful team of manual healthcare practitioners.

My last day providing treatments at Fascial Connections will be Thursday, September 3rd.

It has been a pleasure working with each of you, and an honour to have been a trusted part of your health and wellness journey.

Once I’ve finalized a new clinic location to call home, I’ll be in touch with those details, along with information about my availability and how to book appointments moving forward.

In the meantime, please feel free to reach me by email at spuckett.osteo@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.

To help ensure continuity of care, I would also be happy to refer you to other osteopaths in the city if you need treatment sooner than I’m able to accommodate. Maintaining your progress and supporting your ongoing health remains important to me.

Alternatively, if you’d like to continue treatments with me in the meantime, you can also find me at Back on Track Physiotherapy in Perth, ON. The clinic can be reached at 613-267-7941 or perth@backontrackphysio.com.

I’m deeply grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown me over the past eight years here at Fascial Connections. Wishing you continued health, wellness, and healing.

With gratitude,

Shea Puckett, DOMP
Manual Osteopath

Christine Kelly, RMT

Christine said YES!!!

It may have taken me asking a few times. 😊

Christine had her own desire to streamline her practice, and eventually the timing aligned. For the last two years, we’ve had the opportunity not only to work alongside one another, but to continue learning alongside one another too.

Christine brought another calm, quiet energy into Fascial Connections that amplified the healing environment I had always hoped this place would be.

Christine, thank you for saying yes.

Thank you for your compassion, your curiosity and the beautiful energy you’ve shared with our patients and our team.

Message from Christine:

I am deeply grateful to have been part of the Fascial Connections family these past two years. Working alongside Tara, my wonderful colleagues, and each of our amazing clients has been a true joy. As this chapter comes to a close, I am excited to share that I am consolidating my practice to three days a week at Kars Massage Therapy.

To stay in touch or book your next appointment, please visit karsmassage.com or reach out directly at christinekellyrmt@gmail.com. I look forward to staying connected and supporting you in your healing journey!
Christine

Victoria Birch, Integrative Bodyworker

Sometimes someone enters your life and the timing just feels right.

Victoria reached out through a women’s group in March, and from our first conversations, she felt like a beautiful fit for this growing team.

Although she has only been sharing our space since May, Victoria has added such a warm, healing energy to Fascial Connections.

And this isn’t goodbye.

Victoria’s work will continue with us, but while we transition into our new space, she will temporarily be welcoming clients into her private practice.

Message from Victoria:

To all of my beautiful clients, i would be more than happy to support you in my private practice until, we resume time at Fascial Connections, please contact me directly

Victoria, thank you. I look forward to seeing how your work continues to grow alongside Fascial Connections.

One Last Opportunity to Connect

I know this transition is happening quickly, and I wish I could have given our community more time.

If you have been working with Liza, Shea, or Victoria and would like the opportunity to see your practitioner once more before we close the doors at Prince of Wales, please check their remaining availability now.

For some of you, this may simply be another treatment. For others, it may be an opportunity to complete this chapter of your care together and say goodbye before your practitioner’s next chapter begins.

Our final week in this space is next week, with Fascial Connections officially closing at this location on September 4.

Please reach out to your practitioner or check Jane for any remaining availability. One Last Opportunity to Connect

And Then There’s Catherine…

Catherine has been around my crazy visions and dreams for close to 18 years.

And when another one of those crazy ideas popped into my head—this time involving our mutual love of dogs—she said yes.

Over the last year, Catherine has been an incredible support here at Fascial Connections while simultaneously following a dream of her own and completing her training in canine massage.

Which brings me to perhaps one of the most exciting parts of what comes next…

What Will Fascial Connections Become?

It will still be a safe space where healing can happen.

It will look different when you walk through the doors.

The shape will be different.

But the heart won’t be.

I will continue bringing the same curiosity, presence and support that I have always brought to each and every one of my patients—and even to those of you whom I haven’t personally supported inside the treatment room, but have had the privilege of supporting from afar.

Only now, we’re going to create more ways to do that.

Myofascial Release: Less Fixing. More Listening.

For years, I have wanted to give patients more opportunities to understand and explore this work themselves.

My goal has never been for you to need me forever.

I want you to become curious about your own body. To learn how to listen to what it’s communicating and have tools you can explore when you aren’t in the treatment room receiving one-on-one care.

Our new home finally gives me the space to begin doing exactly that.

This fall, I will be offering my first six-week small-group Myofascial Release series, exclusively for my current patients.

Over six weeks, we’ll take some of the same curiosity, patience and awareness we use together in the treatment room and explore what it can look like when you bring that attention to your own body.

We’ll use our hands, balls, positioning and gentle movement to explore areas of restriction. We’ll practise slowing down rather than pushing harder, staying long enough to notice what happens next, and beginning to recognize how something you’re feeling in one area may connect to something happening somewhere else.

This isn’t about learning the “right” stretch or following a prescribed self-treatment routine.

It’s about becoming more comfortable listening to and exploring your own body.

My hope is that when something starts speaking to you at home, your first response doesn’t always have to be, “I need an appointment.”

Sometimes, perhaps, it can be:

“What am I noticing? What can I offer myself here?”

The first series begins November 16.

Mondays | 3:00–4:00 pm
November 16, 23 & 30
December 7, 14 & 21

6-week series | $450 + HST
Limited to 8–10 participants

Registration will be available through Jane and is open only to current patients of Tara Hagan-Fields, RMT.

This is an educational small-group series rather than RMT treatment. RMT receipts will not be issued.

Less fixing. More listening.

And… We’re Welcoming a Few More Bodies Into FC 🐾🐶

Some of them just happen to have four legs.

As Fascial Connections moves into our new space, we’re also creating room for something that Catherine and I have been quietly working toward for some time.

Canine Massage and Myofascial Release are coming to Fascial Connections.

Just like us, our dogs adapt around injury, activity, aging and the demands of everyday life. Their bodies compensate. They change how they move. They develop patterns. And sometimes, they could use a little support too.

We are creating a space where dogs can receive thoughtful, individualized care — with the same curiosity, patience and respect for the body that has always been at the heart of Fascial Connections.

For me, this feels like a very natural extension of the work I’ve spent the last 20 years doing with humans, while Catherine and I continue building our canine-specific education and training.

Beginning in 2027, I will be dedicating Wednesdays to Canine Myofascial Release Therapy. 🐾

For me, this creates the space to bring another part of this dream to life while continuing my human RMT practice throughout the rest of my week.

Catherine is also completing her training in Canine Massage training and will have her own availability at Fascial Connections. We’ll share more about what her schedule will look like as those details are finalized.

We’ll be sharing much more about canine care, services and booking later this year.

Humans and canines. Different bodies. Same curiosity.

What This Means for Your Care

There is quite a bit of practical information I want to share with you as we transition—including how to continue care with me if you’ve previously been seeing another

Fascial Connections practitioner, additional fall appointments, my cancellation waitlist, and how I will begin welcoming new patients in 2027.

Transitioning Care

Existing Fascial Connections patients who would like to transition their care into my RMT/Myofascial Release practice will have dedicated appointment options available.

75-minute Transitioning Care appointments will be available for patients previously receiving care from Liza, Lori or Christine.

90-minute Transitioning Care appointments will be available for patients transitioning from care with Shea or Victoria, allowing us additional time for assessment, health history review and treatment.

Additional Fall Appointments

My regular schedule for the remainder of 2026 is currently fully committed.

With the changes happening at Fascial Connections and the shift in where and how our team will be supporting patients, I know there is an increased need for care during this transition.

For that reason, I will be opening a limited number of additional Wednesday appointments on:

November 4, 11, 18 & 25
December 2, 9 & 16

These Wednesdays are being added specifically to create some additional space for care during this period of transition. They are not an ongoing addition to my regular treatment schedule and will not be available for new-patient intake.

Appointments will be released on September 15 and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Stay tuned.

Please Use the Waitlist

My practice operates very closely with my waitlist. While my regular schedule often books several months in advance, schedules change and cancellations happen—and I work from my waitlist regularly to connect those openings with patients looking for care.

If you are hoping to see me sooner, please add yourself to the waitlist for the specific appointment type you are looking for (for example, a 60-minute or 75-minute appointment).

When an appointment matching your request becomes available, everyone on the waitlist requesting that appointment type will receive an email offering the opening.

That appointment is then held exclusively for the waitlist for four hours. If it hasn’t been booked during that time, it is released back into online booking and becomes available to anyone browsing the schedule.

So if you’re hoping for an earlier appointment, being on the waitlist really does matter.

Looking Ahead to Your Care in 2027

My 2027 treatment schedule will be released on September 15 for existing Fascial Connections patients.

As we move into this next chapter, there is something I want both my existing patients and those considering transitioning their care to me to understand about the way I structure my practice.

I believe in prioritizing your care proactively, rather than waiting until your body is asking loudly for help.

My schedule is busy and often books three to four months in advance. I don’t share that to create urgency—it is simply important to understand when deciding how you would like Myofascial Release to fit into your care.

If this work is an important part of how you support yourself, I encourage you to think ahead. Consider what a supportive rhythm of care might look like for you over the course of the year, and reserve appointments accordingly.

That rhythm will look different for everyone. For some, it may mean regular appointments throughout the year. For others, it may mean planning around busier seasons, periods of greater physical demand, travel, or times when you know your body tends to need more support.

And when life—or your body—does something you didn’t plan for, use the waitlist. It is an important part of how I accommodate patients when earlier appointments become available.

Beginning September 15, existing Fascial Connections patients will be able to prebook their 2027 appointments.

You spend so much of your year making space for everything and everyone else. I hope you’ll make some space for you, too.

Same Heart. New Shape.

Ten years ago, I wanted to create a home where people could feel safe enough to explore what their bodies were holding.

That hasn’t changed.

The walls are changing.

The shape is changing.

Some of the people within it are changing.

And we’re making room for some paws. 🐾

But the heart of Fascial Connections remains.

I am so grateful for the people who made our first home what it became.

And I am incredibly excited to open the doors to the next one.

September 4 — our final day at Prince of Wales.

The next chapter is very close.

I can’t wait to welcome you into it

Stay Connected

There will be lots to share over the coming days and weeks as this next chapter takes shape. Our new location will be one of the first updates I share once everything is finalized.

For the most current updates, announcements and little glimpses behind the scenes, be sure to follow Fascial Connections on Facebook and Instagram.

With gratitude,
t
