Starting January 1st, 2017 1 hour sessions with Tara Hagan-Fields RMT will be increasing from $100.01 to $120.01 (rate increases for the other treatment times will also be in effect).
Patients who have been in to see Tara previously here at Fascial Connections or at Whole Therapy, will be grandfathered in. The rate will be effective for them as of February 27th, 2017.
Packages (4, 8,12, etc) will be available to purchase at the current rate ($100.01) until February 25th, 2017. A record of how many you purchase will be made. Every time you get a treatment the fee will be subtracted from your balance.
PLEASE NOTE: RECEIPTS WILL ONLY BE ISSUED WHEN SERVICES ARE PROVIDED.
If there is any balance remaining at the end of the year (2017), it will be carried over to the New Year (2018) as a balance. But it will be for face-value as current rates will be in effect at that time.

Hello Tara, I am surprised at the amount of increase, 20% is high.
I only have $300.00 coverage from my insurance provider and pay all other from a health care spending account, which is a small balance, and then from my pocket.
It is a large amount to pay upfront to purchase a package to continue at the old rate.
I am needless to say bummed as don’t think I will find anyone as good as you.

I am sorry you feel the rate of increase is high. As a therapist with my level of additional training, there comes a time when my rates have to reflect that. Having spent my years as a therapist always taking courses there is a reason why I have become the therapist I am, I am always learning. Myofascial Release training unfortunately, does not have the level of training here in Canada as it does in the United States, so my training comes at a 30% increase. Needless to say, I have chosen to learn from the best so I as a therapist can give the same to each and every client who comes in to see me.
I have considered the rate increase from all perspectives and felt this was the best way to implement the increase. I know it doesn’t come without a risk. I am approx $20 higher than the average rate here in Ottawa, and yet still lower than many who are experts within their own field of Massage Therapy. Offering the package purchase until February 25th was my way of recognizing those that have supported me along the way, to still receive treatments at my current rate. I am not a therapist that offers “deals”, in fact I have been against them for many years. However, it was important to me to allow clients like yourself to still receive treatment and phase in my new rates.
Tara Freel is an excellent therapist here and if you are looking to pay around the same price point as where you are now, she will gladly take you on as a client. This can allow her and you to still use me as a resource in your care, should you not be able to justify my rate of increase.
