A Gentle December
December 2, 2025
As the year settles into softer light and quieter evenings, we’re leaning into a December that feels warm, grounded, and deeply human.
It’s a month that naturally invites us to slow our pace — to pull the blanket a little closer, to linger in the glow of a lamp or the shimmer of holiday lights, to breathe just a little deeper as the world outside grows quieter.
This December isn’t about rushing or finishing strong.
It’s about softening into the small comforts that hold us together: warm drinks cupped in both hands, the hush of snowfall, the familiar weight of a favourite sweater, and the quiet feeling of arriving home after a long day. These moments, simple as they are, create a kind of seasonal exhale — a gentle reminder that slowing down is a form of care.
Inside the clinic, we’re embracing that same spirit.
There’s a softer energy in the treatment room this time of year — unhurried, spacious, and deeply attuned. More pauses, slower breaths, and a little extra warmth in every session. We want each visit to feel like stepping into a calm, cozy refuge where your nervous system can find its way back to ease.
Here’s to a December that meets you with kindness, warmth, and room to breathe.

✨ What We’re Grateful For
At the clinic, we’re grateful for the work we’re able to do — the slow softening that happens under our hands, the moments when long-held tension finally shifts, and that shared, quiet breath of relief when something inside the body lets go. These moments are small on the surface, but they hold so much meaning. They remind us why this work matters.
We’re grateful for the conversations shared in the treatment room — the laughter, the tears, the honesty, and the humanity each of you brings with you. Every story, every moment of vulnerability, every gentle sigh has shaped the heart of this space.
And this year, we are especially grateful to be back home in our own clinic after being away for so long following the fire. Returning to a place that holds so much history, comfort, and intention has felt like a deep exhale — for us, and we hope for you as well. Stepping back into these walls, into this familiar light and warmth, has reminded us just how much a space can hold, and how much we’ve missed witnessing your healing here.
This work is meaningful because you are meaningful, and we feel profoundly privileged to be part of your healing journey — especially now, in a space that feels like home again.

The Little Rituals That Bring Warmth This Time of Year
As the season settles in around us — the lights, the familiar music, the soft pull to slow down — we’ve found ourselves reflecting on the small traditions that make this time of year feel like home. These are the quiet rituals that ground us: the moments filled with comfort, nostalgia, connection, and a touch of magic.
At the clinic, we wanted to open a window into some of the traditions that mean the most to us — the simple joys we look forward to each year, and the ones that remind us of what truly matters.
Liza shared that for over 12 years, 6–8 of her cousins gather early on a Saturday morning at one of her aunt’s homes to bake Christmas desserts. By the end of the day, they’ve created more than twenty different treats. Everyone leaves with a small assortment — and gets to enjoy even more when celebrations begin throughout the holidays.
Christine shared that in her home, a cherished tradition is going out somewhere lovely for brunch once all four of them are together again. Last year’s spot was the Château Laurier.
Catherine shared that the holidays wouldn’t be complete without the annual Santa Pug photo shoot. It takes a while to set up — and requires a million attempts to get that perfect picture — but the tradition is beloved.
Lori shared that each year, she and her parents choose a weekend before Christmas to make piragi, a traditional Latvian bun filled with bacon and ham. Her dad prepares the meat, and she and her mom make the dough and assemble each bun by hand. They’re time-consuming — but absolutely delicious.
Shea shared that on Boxing Day, her family stays in their pajamas all day, playing games or working on puzzles while enjoying good food and each other’s company.
Tara shared that Christmas Eve always includes ordering Chinese food, playing games, and opening one gift — pajamas! Every year, everyone receives a new pair of cozy jammies to wear to bed and wake up in on Christmas morning. One year, her mom forgot to buy them, and no one had matching pajamas for the night — resulting in a hilarious assortment of mismatched sleepwear for Christmas morning photos.
These small rituals remind us that the heart of the season isn’t found in the rush — but in the gentle, familiar moments that invite us to slow down, savour the company we keep, and breathe a little deeper.

✨ A Soft Reflection for Year-End
As the year comes to a close, December invites us into a quieter kind of noticing — a spacious pause where we can gently look back at the months behind us without judgment, urgency, or the pressure to “sum it all up.”
This isn’t about resolutions or productivity.
It’s about acknowledging what touched your heart, what shifted inside you, and what deserves to be carried forward.
Here are a few nurturing questions to sit with — slowly, softly, maybe with a warm drink in hand:
- What felt meaningful this year?
The small moments, the unexpected joys, the things that reminded you of who you are. - What softened for you?
Where did ease, forgiveness, or clarity quietly make its way in? - What surprised you in a good way?
A person, a feeling, a realization, a change that arrived gently and made something lighter. - What do you want more of in 2026?
Not goals or tasks — but qualities, feelings, rhythms that support the person you’re becoming.
Let the answers arrive slowly, like snow settling on quiet streets.
There’s no right way to reflect — just your way, at your pace.
